In the last month, the U17s played two more league games.

Also, Cathal Malone came into give the lads a chat and provide them with some great advice. A big congratulations to Cathal from the U17s on a great win Saturday night!

The U17s did a clean up around the club facilities with the Tidy Towns.

The U17s play Clooney on Thursday and if they win we qualify to the semi finals!

Below is a summary of the most recent matches V Doora-Barefield and Éire Óg.

The U17s played Doora-Barefield in Round 3 of the league on St. Patrick’s Day morning in Sixmilebridge. They started well with some good individual scores from Cian Conroy and Dylan Keogh. Doora-Barefield’s scores coming from the free taking of Thomas O’Connor. Two quick goals from Stephan Gavin had the ‘Bridge well in control by halftime. The second half was even playing with scores hard to come for from both teams. Rory Chaplin scored a couple of well taken frees. Doora-Barefield responded with a good goal coming from Jack Mcallister. This was followed by grest finish to the net by Dylan Keogh. Best for the bridge on the day were Cian Conroy and Stephan Gavin.

On Easter Sunday morning 31st March, the U17s travelled up to play Eire og in Round 4. Éire Óg started strong and Sixmilebridge were 05 to 02 up before Donal O’Leary found the back of the net. This was followed soon after by another goal from Donal who finished off a great move, started by Luke Deegan. Sixmilebridge led at halftime, but soon after halftime the more physically stronger Éire Óg, aided by the wind, took over and scored 7 unanswered points to put them in the driving seat. Éire Óg held on for a 3-06 to 0-18 points win.

Next up for Sixmilebridge is Clooney-Quin on Thursday 11th April in the last round where a win put us into the semi final.
