The Bridge boys are conquering the world slowly but surely - In the early days we had John Reddan winning in Birmingham, Paidi Fitz winning in the USA, the Quilligans and O'Connors triumphant in the London Intermediate Championship earlier this year and now we have a trio who top the ranks in Canadian Hurling circles.

Eanna Burns, PA Sheehan and Darragh Fitzgerald lined out for Na Piarsaigh in Toronto's Canadian Championship and played a big part as they defeated Clan na Gael in Centennial Park on Sunday. Congrats to all involved. The Bridge - Canadian Hurling twinning does not end there as local Bridge man Shane O'Neill has been instrumental in promoting Gaelic Games in Canada for over 10 years now through his association with Prince Edward Island Celts as well as holding positions on the Canadian county board.

The Bridge trio were joined by some other Clare lads in the win .. In photo are L to R Gary Neville from Kilkishen, Pa Sheehan, Enda McNamara, Bunty and Darragh Fitz

Meanwhile in the Kerry hurling championship Matthew O'Flaherty (whos dad Enda O'Dowd hails from the Bridge) lined out for Kilmoyley who captured back to back Kerry Hurling titles. As the Buff would say regarding all these hurling men with Bridge Blood running through their veins from Canada to North Kerry ... Hail Hail!
